The Generation A Project
As a nation, we invest 13 years of our children’s lives and trillions of public dollars providing a K-12 education that ultimately awards a diploma most educators, employers, and citizens agree does not indicate readiness for education, work, and life after high school. Aaron North of the Ewing Marion Kauffman Foundation will talk about recent efforts in Kansas City to align education systems, employers, postsecondary institutions, communities, and students to redesign what high school completion looks like and how a new diploma could send students into a mid-21st century economy equipped with the experiences, skills, and ways of thinking to help them navigate the world to come.
