This year’s program is designed to cater to a much larger audience, including small business owners, startup entrepreneurs, people innovating inside big companies (we call those folks ‘intrapreneurs’), freelancers, wantrapreneurs (those are people who think they might have an entrepreneur inside of them, trying to get out) and economic developers that want to learn new ways to grow more entrepreneurs in their own communities.
EntreFest! 2013 is designed to bring together and strengthen Iowa’s entire entrepreneurial ecosystem: entrepreneurs, intrapreneurs, small business owners, professional service providers, investors, economic developers, nonprofits, government officials, and more, to celebrate and showcase Iowa’s entrepreneurial spirit.

This year’s event will include inspirational speeches from iconic Iowa entrepreneurs, hands-on workshops to move your business forward, high-touch breakout sessions led by entrepreneurs who’ve been there, and of course, there’ll be lots of networking opportunities to meet like-minded people, fueled by a bountiful selection of some of the best food and drink Iowa has to offer---all with one goal in mind: to help you move your entrepreneurial ideas forward.
Our planning committee has worked hard this year to introduce new conference features and more meaningful opportunities to ensure you can make the most of your time at EntreFest! We’ve asked every presenter to up-their-game and make sure every session gives you specific opportunities to apply the teachings to your business, while you’re at the conference.
We’ve designed experiential learning opportunities that will have an immediate impact on how you think about your company; we’ve added workshops that will have attendees building new websites for their businesses (right at the conference!); we’ve created new networking sessions that will connect you with people who can answer your specific questions and solve your pressing problems, and we’ve added a few more surprises that we think you’re gonna like. Plus, we've held on to your old favorites like the Business Info Smorgasbord, Dream Big Grow Here Pitch Competition and many opportunities to make meaningful and lasting connections.
